From April 1st to June 20th, Onew got casted as Jubong at the ‘The Brothers were Brave’ musical which takes place at the Coex theaters. ‘The Brothers were Brave’ is the hit musical for its solid plot and configuration that had its first performance in 2008. The musical goes like this: The poor Suk Bong and Ju Bong brothers came down to their home town at An Dong to find their deceased father’s inheritance, and while they are looking for the fortune, the brothers come to understand and forgive each other. Onew’s character Ju Bong is the second son who is know to be discriminated, short tempered Seoul university graduate.
Onew’s challenge for the musical is his first and especially with the kissing scene in the musical is attracting many attention. The publisher said to T-new, “This is Onew’s first musical performance. But Jessica also had her first musical called, ‘Legally Blond’ and she could not pull it off well. Because these day’s idol not only have talents for singing and dancing, they show hard effort; I believe also that Onew will do a good job so I an not worrying about this.” Onew’s representative of SM entertainment said to T-News, “Onew started his singing, dancing, and acting practices for ‘The Brothers were Brave’. To show good results, we’ll try our best…” Onew is currently in a group called SHINee and is famous for his singing and dancing talents, so his musical debut has been the focus attention.
SHINee leader Onew, surprising Abs Show? SHINee Onew recently revealed the hidden washboard(!) Abs while he was washing duvets during the record of KBS JOY ‘SHINee’s Hello Baby. The group was divided into two teams, one team went to hospital to get immunization for Yoogeuni and one to wash the duvets and while the member Jonghyun was washing, he joked, “Hyung, your abs are washboards, take your top off so I can wash with your abs.” At this, Onew has shown his unique sense by pulling his stomach out on purpose and made his surrounding full of laughter.
On the other hand, you could see the love towards Yoogeun by looking at the members, whose hand washing for the first time in their lives (adding too much washing powder than they are suppose to, dropping the washing on the floor etc), trying and putting their best effort in this cold weather, warming their freezing hands. This episode will broadcast on 24th at 12 at night.
Recently, when Super Junior performs Shining Star in the concert, most of the members especially Eeteuk and Eunhyuk will cry for sure. But for the 20th February's Super Show 2 in Taiwan, Donghae shed tears and made fans keep wondering what's the reason he cried.

Did anyone realize, Donghae was laughing happily at first!! but when he turned towards the left, he was a little shocked, and stunned there for awhile. Donghae turned and and saw this.
Taiwan fans’ support during shining star and formed the pattern ELF ♥ SJ with yellow lightsticks. Teukie tried controlling his tears but couldn’t, he cried so hard till his face was all scrunched up ( as in he cried really hard). Hyukjae cried until he couldn’t lift up his head. Siwon kept his eyes close towards the end, and didn’t dare open them (afraid that his tears would flow out).Everyone either had tears in their eyes or cried really hard. Both on stage and off, were all in tears. I attended both days of the concert and felt really fortunate!!! We cried even harder on the second than the first day!!! This time we Taiwan E.L.Fs did it!!!!!! Its the first time, and also our most complete and wonderful moment! Every house ( different forums and fan clubs) did well too!! The fan chants too!!! Hope we will maintain like this till 4jib, and will be awaiting for Super Show III to create memories that belongs to SJ and us once again!!!!!!
On 27 & 28 February, SS501 will hold their Asia Tour Encore Concert in Seoul Olympic Park’s Gymnastic Stadium. KARA & Rainbow will also participate in the concert to show their friendship.
KARA & Rainbow both feel honoured to be the guest performer of SS501 Encore Concert. KARA will be performing in the MBC Music Core comeback stage for their mini album 'Lupin' on the 27th. After that, KARA will be heading for SS501 concert location. Rainbow will be performing in the 28th concert.
After this, SS501 Persona Asia Tour Concert will come to an end. Currently, SS501 is racing against time to practice for their Encore concert.
With March nearly upon us, it’s the time where a load of new dramas make their debut and we have another one to introduce to you. The new MBC mini series, Personal Taste, starring Lee Minho and Son Ye Jin recently revealed their promotional stills, generating interest among fans.
Just like Lee Minho’s last drama, Boys Over Flowers, he will be romancing his co-star who is older than him by five years off the screen.
The photos were recently taken at MBC Dream Center at Ilsan on the 18th which portrays them living together under one roof as roommates. The story is adapted from a novel of the same name and is about a guy called Jeon Jin Ho who is a straight guy but pretends to be gay in order to become a roommate to his female friend, Park Kae In. Sounds familiar but what matters most is the process.
SUPER JUNIOR who held their concert in Tapei Arena for two days consecutively, had fans screaming passionately, which members told the management before the 2nd show started, “Today, we shall have a more special performance!’, in the end, not only did they gave their all, most of the members even promised at the end of the show, “We’ll be back!”
SJ felt that this was one of the most enthusiastic stop, although this is the 1st time they held a concert in Taipei, they gave it their all – letting their fans know through their actions and expressions, got the fans who were watching elated. The members gave their best shot when speaking in mandarin, just to be able to get close to Taiwanese fans. During performance, Eeteuk, Donghae and Eunhyuk even cried as they were touched by the real time atmosphere, while Kyuhyun and ZhouMi went teary during the encore, finally, at the end, members were playing crazily on stage, shouting they would be back.
Specially for the additional concert, they even sang their junior ’s song, even during the 2nd day, the performance was just as hilarious, Shindong even dropped his wig while dancing(rolling) on stage. While Heechul, Ryeowook, Donghae and members cross-dress, acting cute and bitchy, some members attempted to pulled off Eunhyuk’s wig, which had the audience rolling with laughter. Even Siwon who showed his abs specially for the fans, specially introduced Vaness Wu, whom he admired as his “Good Brother”. (哥哥=elder brother)
During their 4 days of stay in Taiwan, SJ stayed indoors completely, else either at Taipei Arena or at the hotel, requesting for customer service, having steak, fried rice, spaghetti, salad, mostly food. They went for Korean BBQ to celebrate after their concert ended. It is said that SJ would leave on the 22nd, splitting up in two groups, the 1st to leave at 8.10 in the morning on CI160 , and the other at 2.35pm on OZ712.
Today was idol boy group Super Junior’s taiwan concert which is part of their SuperShow2 tour, the boys touched down at taiwan Taoyuan airport this morning, however the place was packed out with about 2000 fans, as you can imagine there was plentiful of pushing and shoving going around. As soon as the boys got off the plane, fans, cameras,posters were all shoved into their faces and the whole atmosphere was filled with loud screaming. Hovac and chaos broke loose when equipment and people started to fall on the floor, fans even camped till the early hours in the freezing cold outside Super Junior’s hotel just to get a glimpse of their idols! The bodyguards worked hard to keep everyone and everything in order however an incident was where a fan got too close to member Sungmin and videoed him, the fan’s camera was litterally shoved at Sungmin’s face, because of this the fan was loudly yet rudely told off by one of the body guards and she was shoved out of the way! This is not a case of manager assaulting fan but bodyguard. Thankfully both Sungmin & the fan was unhurt. Afterwards when the fan was asked if she still liked Super Junior after the treatment she received from the bodyguards, she responded :’I just don’t like the bodyguards.’ I have to say poor Sungmin he looked scared that was afterall his personnal space that was invaded, but fans were excited! Video footage shows the incident, which starts at around: 0.42.
Lately U-Kiss‘ lead vocalist Soohyun has been under the scrutiny of many because of his close relationship with 2AM’s Jo Kwon. Well, it now looks like Soohyun is trying to divert the attention towards fellow bandmate and maknae of U-Kiss, Dongho.
On yesterday’s episode of KBS 2TV’s Star Golden Bell, Soohyun revealed that Dongho was someone that you definitely wouldn’t want to mess with. He shared, “At first, Dongho was really cute and nice but as his popularity has been growing recently, he’s gaining a bit of an attitude, even with small stuff. Nowadays, if you poke his back, he will glare at you and tell you to stop.”
To Soohyun’s comment, Dongho responded, “Am I doing anything wrong?”

The rookie band CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yonghwa just got into a car accident.
Jung Yonghwa was filming Eco House for Sunday Sunday Night on the 22nd. While traveling in a car, he got into the unfortunate accident and was immediately taken to the hospital.
FNC Music, CNBLUE’s company, expressed in a phone call, “Jung Yonghwa was moving from Gyeonggi-do Yangpyung and then his car fell into a levee. It was taking a turn but couldn’t avoid the taxi that was temporarily stopped.”
Jung Yonghwa and his manager, who was in the car as well, are both in the hospital as of now. An associate said, “They didn’t suffer any major trauma but they’re getting checked up. After the check-up, we will announce their state of health.”
Could this mean he won’t have time for his new wife?
Maybe Jung Yonghwa is making SNSD’s maknae lose her concentration on stage, but once again the maknae slipped up while performing Oh!
On this week’s Inkigayo, you can see Seohyun raise her arm too early near the end of the performance. She corrects herself quickly and thankfully didn’t squeak like last time, but it was a mistake nonetheless.
What I don’t understand is how netizens caught this. It happens in the corner of the screen for about half a second!

SHINee’s leader Onew will join the list of idols-turned-musical-stars with his lead role of Joo-Bong in Brothers Were Brave from April 1st to June 20th in Coex Theaters.
The musical, which was first opened in 2008, was critically acclaimed. It was based on two brothers that never got along, who went back to their hometown to find a hefty fortune in their father’s will. The two grow closer during their adventure. The younger sibling, which will be played by Onew, feels like he got the short end of the stick. He has a bit of a temper, but is a highly educated man, having graduated from Seoul University, known to be Korea’s best university. During their adventure, the two set their differences aside and eventually develop a strong brotherly relationship with one another.
In his first musical, Onew will also be partaking in a kiss scene, surprising many people, but building even more anticipation.
The production staff said, “Onew is doing a musical for the first time. Jessica of SNSD was very successful with Legally Blonde even though it was her first time as well. These days, the idols are very good in the fields of singing and dancing. Not only that, they try very hard at everything they do so I think he will do great.”
SM Entertainment, Onew’s company, said, “After he got cast for this musical, he started practicing his singing, dancing and acting. He is working hard to bring a nice performance on stage.”

For them to debut was in August of 2008. But for U-Kiss to actually gain popularity in their name was November of last year with the song 'ManManHani.' Their competition was greater. Near the same time U-Kiss debuted, 2PM also came out. The members had to watch their competition grow more and more popular, how would have felt through this?
With 1 year and 5 months since their debut, their first album Ukiss's 'Only One' was released and the members were finally able to wipe off their sorrows from then.

There isn't just one bad memory of U-Kiss. Their backstage room was labeled 'U-Kizz' at one time, but that isnt it. At one concert, 6 members were given 5 mics and had to perform live sharing mics.
On a cue sheet for a music program, U-Kiss's song was named 'Unkwown.'
The members say "Those unfortunate situations made us lose our confidence, we didn't want to leave the backstage room with other popular singers staring at us, unkwown."
But with their big hit "ManManHani" their entire lives were changed. Wherever they go, they have the confidence to say something now.
Ukiss's recalls "We shot our first CF since debut. We actually looked foward to our music video setting for once!" and "Particularly when our manager hyung receives calls for schedules we can hear the power in his voice."

Super Junior fans will conglomerate to claim their coveted reserved tickets at the largest organized ticket redemption day ever on Feb. 21 at Ali Mall in Araneta Center.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at the atrium of Ali Mall and concludes at 6 p.m. "The Super Junior Super Show 2" is slated on April 10 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Fan club members are set to compete in dance competitions in front of life-size replicas of their idols who put up three No. 1 spots on three different MYX charts.
The event is produced by Pulp Live Productions. The official channel is MYX, and the official newspaper is Philippine STAR. Tickets are available at Ticketnet.
Popular K-pop idols MBLAQ, Brown Eyed Girls, 2AM, SNSD / Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and Lee Seung Gi got together earlier today for Super concert The Blast. They performed at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics stadium to celebrate a news agency’s success in garnering 500,000 members! MCs were absent from the stage, so these performers were the primary focus of those attending.
A representative from the planning committee stated, “We wanted to plan this Blast super concert so teens can gain new hopes and dreams as the upcoming school year approaches.”

Samsung Card, one of Korea’s biggest credit card companies has a new advertising campaign titled “Why Not?” Basically, the campaign shows various people doing “Why Not” things.
The main star for this campaign is SS501 leader Kim Hyun Joong, his theme for Why Not is getting naked and saying that he’s never worn clothes going to bed. On the February 20th episode of SBS Star King, there was a segment where the contestants danced to the recent popular dance track, Change by Hyuna.
4minute were part of the watching guests on this episode so naturally Hyuna would eventually step onto the stage herself and groove to her own track with the contestants. She looked kind of freaked out at some parts but managed to keep her composure. The fun part though was when Leeteuk motioned for SHINee’s Minho to go on to the stage where he showed his unique crotch thrusts, much to the delight of everyone present.
Although Jo Kwon also took to the stage after him, I would say Minho did it better than him this time. It was fun then to see everyone get on stage at the end for Change.
There was another highlight on this episode from another SHINee member, Key who danced to a medley of idol girl group hit songs.
It was indeed an interesting episode for SHINee fans especially.

On this very special 200th episode of Music Core, MBC introduced a special segment called “sound-holic” featuring our favorite Brown Eyed Girls, Lee Eun Mi, Baek Ji Young, After School and indie rock band CNBLUE!
The Brown Eyed Girls had a successful year in 2009 with hits Abracadabra and Sign. But before the girls became dark and sexy vixens, they were once cute and innocent girls. It’s almost hard to believe but it’s true as the Brown Eyed Girls performed the fan favorites L.O.V.E. and How Come.
Remember the couple mistakes of SNSD’s Seohyun and CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa? Well, it seems like Jung Yong Hwa did not make a mistake on Music Bank!
No wonder! I watched the performance multiple times looking for the slip-up, and eventually left it to CNBLUE hardcore fans to find it for me! But nothing of that sort really happened.
On the 19th, CNBLUE successfully finished performing their debut song, I’m a Loner, without any problems. However, after the performance, many articles saying that ‘Jung Yong Hwa mixed up the lyrics’ or ‘He fumbled the lyrics’ popped up all over the media. Now, after careful review of the performance, it seems like he did not mess up at all!
What actually happened on Music Bank was that the other members confused the lyrics, “Sad because of love (사랑에 슬퍼하고)” and “Hurt because of love (사랑에 아파하고)”. The small mistake was not even a big problem and Jung Yong Hwa, the main subject of the controversy, is innocent!
A representative of CNBLUE said,
“We were shocked by articles saying ‘Jung Yong Hwa’s slip-up’, so we looked into it. He never made a mistake. We believe it was just a happening.”
Fans of CNBLUE are furious because the media mistakenly called Jung Yong Hwa out by saying that he mixed up or fumbled the lyrics during the performance on KBS2’s Music Bank. The fans are calling it a conspiracy against CNBLUE!
So what happened? Did a reporter get paid by We Got Married to stir up the media before the actual airing of the first episode? Was the reporter too eager to find something Seohyun and Jung Yong Hwa had in common? Was the reporter simply experimenting with the rising popularity of the two idols?
I think Jung Yong Hwa should be proud of this incident. It is a sign that even the smallest talk about him will stir up the media. He is now the new ‘issue maker’!
A bit past midnight in Taiwan on February 20, Super Junior’s Henry visited Baidu to greet fans with a sweet message, New Year’s greeting and a promise for a big surprise.

Super Junior’s Henry hyped up the group’s upcoming Super Show 2 Taiwan concert by promising a mysterious surprise earlier today, but it looks like Shindong’s got something quite… eye-catching up his sleeve as well!
On his Twitter account, Shindong recently posted a photo, presumably for a solo stage of some sort. Although the photo was posted less than two hours ago, it’s already been flooded with comments from ecstatic fans all over the world.
While Henry seemed extremely excited for his surprise, Shindong merely called his “interesting.” Not that I blame him… check out the photo he posted that speaks a thousand words:

On yesterday’s M! Countdown, the Brown Eyed Girls put their hip swaying dance moves on hold and instead emphasized their vocals as they sang a lovely rendition of You Raise Me Up to raise awareness for Haiti.
For today’s show on Music Bank, there was another Raise Me Up special stage. But the singing was not limited to only one group, but was led by a group of singers Jokwon, Kim Jong Kook, Taeyeon, Jang Hee Young, Min Kyung Hoon, Jung Yonghwa and Jessica. The symphony of sounds from the excellent vocals contributed by several artists made this performance all the more memorable.
Yes, Engrish was alive and well, but that was perhaps the only minor flaw in the entire performance. Check them out.

The nine cheerleaders have once again made the oh, oh, oh, oppas smile! On tonight’s Music Bank, SNSD has donned themselves in their amazingly tight cheerleading costumes again, performing their undoubtedly infectious track, Oh!. Currently suffering from yet another SNSD fever, I shall add this performance to my collection as well… seriously, it’s the best one so far!
And if you noticed, Seohyun tripped while moving to another position.
To no surprise, the girls claimed the glory of first place for the 3rd week in a row against regular rivals, CNBlue and 2AM with 20,284 points. Will Oh! be able to beat Gee’s seemingly unbreakable record of nine wins? We’ll have to see.
Can you ever get enough of this song? CNBLUE’s I’m a loner is pretty damn timeless. I can listen to this track on repeat for an entire week and still never get tired of it.
Jung Yonghwa’s smooth vocals and amazing performance tonight, once again proved that although they are rookies, they truly deserved their win a few weeks back.

You may have noticed, but the newlywed couple of We Got Married, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa and SNSD’s Seohyun, both made a little mistake while performing live on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank. Was the joint mistake a mere coincidence? Or was a sign that they were meant for each other?
During CNBLUE’s live performance, Jung Yong Hwa mixed up the lyrics. It’s a bit difficult to find the slip up but CNBLUE hardcore fans should be able to find it:
During SNSD’s performance, Seohyun tripped while moving to her next position, and ended up squeaking in the process as well!
Netizens are saying, “Are they making mistakes together because they’re ‘married’?” and “It would be epic if they comforted each others’ mistakes on ‘We Got Married’!” For all we know, this may be a continuation of the speculated WGM mission that the two may have; just yesterday, fans were wondering why both idols were flashing their matching rings on camera.
On the other hand, Jung Yong Hwa and Seohyun weren’t alone in making mistakes! Gavy NJ’s Heeyung was unable to continue singing during the climax of the song.
A representative of Gavy NJ said, “Before going on stage, Heeyung was not feeling well.”

Rumor has it that BFFs Jaejoong , Yoochun (TVXQ) and Hyun Joong (SS501) took an evening off recently to watch Jessica of SNSD star in Legally Blonde: The Musical on February 15.
Jessica’s participation in this musical has definitely generated quite an interest in the production, considering the fact that fans crashed servers to purchase tickets for one of Jessica’s March performances. However, I’m sure that staff would’ve had no problem giving these A-listers VIP tickets to the show.
JaeChunHyun (JaeChunJoong? Yoo2Joong? You tell me!) was reportedly seen outside the theater in which Jessica was performing; supposedly, Jaejoong was driving his new Audi R8. Check out these photos that a lucky fan shot:

Now, these photos are sketchy at best so we should take this with a grain of salt, but considering how close this threesome is, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did take a trip out together. After all, Jaejoong & Hyun Joong were seen together in Canada just last month, so who knows?
