Samsung Card, one of Korea’s biggest credit card companies has a new advertising campaign titled “Why Not?” Basically, the campaign shows various people doing “Why Not” things.

The main star for this campaign is SS501 leader Kim Hyun Joong, his theme for Why Not is getting naked and saying that he’s never worn clothes going to bed. SS501's Group leader send a gift and letter to oversea fan who is sick, this news has spread widely and became a hot topic. On 14 February, in the English Korean Entertainment Information Site Soompi, there's an article titled 'A Miracle occurred in Thailand', attracted most attention. In the article, it was mentioned that one Thailand fan received Kim Hyun Joong's letter and present.

According to the article, one member of a Thailand Fan club has undergo kidney transplant operation but the result was not very good and is staying in the hospital. This fan has been waited for SS501 Thailand Concert on the 13th February since long time ago, however due to her worsen health, could not go to their concert. Therefore, her friend wrote a letter to Kim Hyun Joong.

According to the fan: "Because the bodyguards were very strict, they could not pass the letter to Kim Hyun Joong directly. One fan when passed her present to Kyu Jong hide the letter together and gave to him. This letter might be passed to Hyun Joong by Kyu Joong."

When Hyun Joong knew about the actual condition and found out about the hospital that the Thailand fan is staying at, he sent his regards through a letter and present to the fan. The fan happily said: "It is really a miracle."

When consoling the fan that couldn't attend their concert because of her illness, he wrote in his letter: "Because of the schedule of the concert, I couldn't see you. After the concert, I will send you the concert video." He even called up the fan via an interpreter.

This news spread fast through the internet, after knowing this, the reaction of his fans were: "Once again, SS501's kind heart is confirmed. It is very touching.", "An idol that is thoughtful to fans", "Proud to be Hyun Joong's fan"

Some fans cheer for the Thailand fan: "Glad that the news has spread to Hyun Joong, hope the fan will get well soon.", "Same like Hyun Joong, we hope the Thailand fan will recover soon."

Kim Hyung Joon’s high popularity was undoubtable, with the show receiving high ratings from the first episode.

Just 15 minutes into the episode, the show garnered in 1.344% of the males between the ages of 13-25. The rating topped MBCgame’s previous high rating.

The ratings were as followed:
1.0366% of the nation’s males ranging from ages 13-25 (18.06%)
1.184% of the nation’s 20-year old males (25.06%)

The show’s main PD even explained why the ratings were more male-dominant despite the gamer being a male idol, “More male youths dream of become progamers and they are satisfied when they imagine themselves as the characters.”

Since last March, the popular singer-actor has charmed many with his endorsements with the fried chicken franchise. Recently, new photos of Hyun Joong with a drumstick, travel luggage, wine, a gift box and flowers have been revealed



I’m not sure why Hotsun felt it necessary to choose so many random objects for a fried chicken endorsement, but hey, it’s Hyun Joong – I’m sure many fangirls aren’t complaining!



For the CF, he played his F4 character Yoon Ji Hoo who rides his motorcycle against a European backdrop to go to a party and eats chicken surrounded by beautiful girls.
