Jung Yong Hwa and Yoon Si Yoon for NII

NII, a casual clothing brand, has signed a contract with two fresh new models to endorse their latest creations.

The two are High Kick Through the Roof’s Yoon Si Yoon and CNBLUE’s front man Jung Yong Hwa.

The two finished shooting for the spring line in January. The basic but classy look make them look like models rather than actors and singers.

Yoona likes to visit the boys bathroom

Yoona’s friend from elementary school revealed some shocking secrets about her on KBS Sweet Night.

The members of SNSD came on Sweet Night to celebrate their comeback and they were greeted by friends, a teacher, a delivery man and an old time crush on the corner, “Sweet Acquaintance, It’s been a while.” In this corner, Yoona reunited with two friends that she lost contact with from about a decade ago.

The friends revealed an incident where their teacher told them to pick someone as their partner and write the top three candidates on a piece of paper. The teacher ripped up all of the papers afterwards and Yoona went through the garbage to figure out which boys put her name on it.

She also had the hobby of going into the boys bathrooms – scandalous!

Her friends also stated that the three of them would constantly play Gostop, Korea’s version of poker. So this girl was gambling all the while visiting the boys bathrooms. Didn’t know Yoona had it in her.

Having SNSD on the show, definitely helped out Sweet Night because the viewer rating was bumped up to 12.7% for this episode.

T-ara’s first break in six months

Girl group T-ara just earned themselves a little break.

For six months straight, these girls worked hard to promote their newest songs Bo Peep Bo Peep and Like the First Time. They’ve now finally earned themselves a short break.

But how short? Just three hours. The girls are all getting three hours of free shopping on their upcoming online shopping mall T-ara dot com.

The online shopping mall is part of their newest reality show.

To T-ara, three hours means two hours of sleeping and one hour of shopping. The girls came back from their busy schedules and shopped till they dropped.

The program, T-ara World, is trying to see T-ara members’ individual sense of style before launching the actual website. The staff of the new show said, “You will get to see the personalities of the members, which are funnier than sitcom characters.”

T-ara World will air on the February 3rd and the 10th.

SNSD’s second album Oh! is out!

It’s finally here! The second full album from the 9 member girl group SNSD / Girls’ Generation just dropped today!

Dirty UEE has a myriad of expressions

On 29th, After School’s UEE demonstrated her acting skills on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook through a few facial expressions.

During the filming, MC Yoo Hee Yeol complimented After School by stating, “When girls guys talk, you seem innocent. But when you girls sing, you all have expressions that look as if you’ll eat me alive.”

To this, Jooyeon stated, “During ‘Diva,’ we had to have a happy yet sexy facial expression, but during ‘Because of You,’ we had to have sad expression, so we practiced our facial expressions a lot.”

Regarding the story of a dirty UEE, leader Kahi stepped up to explain how the full story got edited and made UEE seem … well, dirty. Kahi revealed, “UEE only got 1-2 hours of sleep daily because of all her drama filmings, After School activities, and dance practices. Because of that, she falls asleep as soon as she gets home.”

Members of After School revealed a secret about UEE on a recent episode of Star Golden Bell.

Jungah said, “UEE has such a busy schedule. When she comes home, she doesn’t even take off her clothes. She goes straight to bed.”

Bekah added, “These days, she’s trying to be more clean. When she goes to the bathroom to wash herself she shouts to me, ‘Unnie, I’m going to wash myself!’ She says it as if she’s advertising it. I support UEE for that.”

I don’t really blame UEE. Not to mention, these idol girls look fresh all the time. This episode airs on the 23rd.

Super Junior’s Shindong badmouths fat girls

Popular boy band Super Junior can’t seem to avoid controversies and scandals as one of their members, Shindong, has been under criticism and rebuke for a comment he made during the broadcasting of MBC radio station Shim Shim Tapa.

On the 29th, a female listener revealed to the radio station that she recently fought with her boyfriend because of her decision to go on a diet. When she shared with him her diet plans for the new year, he told her, “Don’t start if you’re only going to quit after a few days. Your body isn’t the type to change with a diet.”

Kim Shin Young, who co-hosts the radio station, stated, “To a girl, a negative comment about her weight is equivalent to asking for a punch.”

The Super Junior chubster then commented, “If someone had to lose weight, I would tell that person to lose weight. Lose some weight, why can’t you take care of yourself. When I say this, the person might think, ‘Look who’s talking,’ but I would reply, ‘I’m a boy and you’re a girl.‘”

To this, both Kim Shin Young and announcer Gu Eun Young retorted, “Why does gender matter in this situation? So girls have to be skinny and boys can be…” Taken aback by their remarks, Shindong quickly explained, “I’m just saying. Honestly, I would want the person that I love to be more pretty or more handsome.”

This issue brings up a previous episode of MBC ’Quiz to Change the World,’ wherein fellow Super Junior members also expressed their distaste in “larger” women. Yesung stated, “I think obese people are lazy” while Leeteuk confessed, “I really dislike fat girls. I don’t think they take care of their bodies well.”




In response to Shindong’s remark towards overweight females, netizens commented, “I don’t understand the reasoning behind how men are allowed to be fat but women are not,” and “How can he say something like that when his own chubbiness is being well-received?”

His statement, which has been deemed as offensive, transcends an issue with obesity to that of sexism. Do you side with the Super Junior member or was Shindong completely in the wrong this time?
