Boy group BEAST consisting of 6 members have made a splendid achievement as a rookie idol by selling more than 100,000 copies in 2010.
According to album sold research site Hanteo Chart on the 11th, BEAST who debuted last year on October have sold 107,006 copies from January 1st to October this year with 4 of their released albums including their first album.
BEAST is the only rookie group out of all the boy/girl groups who have sold over 100,000 copies when they have debuted only a little past a year now. This proves BEAST's formidable popularity.
By albums, their recent album released on November 8th have sold 35,350 copies until October, showing highest sale rate. It has been evaluated that winning first place with 'Beautiful' on music program has helped them to sell many copies.
Their 3rd mini album with 'Soom' as their title song released on September 30th, has been sold 33,777 copies until October. 2nd mini album with 'Shock' as their title song released on March 3rd, has been sold 28,520 copies until the same day.
BEAST's debut mini album released on October 26th of last year have sold 9,359 copies, close to 10,000 from January 1st until 12th of this month.
BEAST, with the success of selling many copies, was ranked 5th on Hanteo Chart's '2010 Singer Award' along with popular singers Girl's Generation, Super Junior, SHINee, and JYJ.
Hanteo Chart's Singer Award is based on the ranking of albums sold throughout the year. Girl's Generation, who debuted on 2007 and have released 31 different albums until now, is currently ranked first for selling over 300,000 copies from January 1st until 10th of this month.
On the other hand, BEAST is having their first concert on 12th in Seoul Jamsil Gymnasium
